Arcadio Gregori Ferrer is a successful electrician, who in the early 70’s founded a small electrical repair shop, which over the course of the time became a landmark in the local economy in north of Valencia, Spain.
In the next decades, his company grew to face a huge range of industrial affairs, such as chemical, coating, furniture, agriculture, water treatment, construction, etc; which were blooming in the area at that time.
Around 2010, with the next family generation assuming control, they expanded into telecomunications, industrial mechanical maintenance and assembly, adding personal and know-how to increase their participation in more complex and specialized industrial projects: the brands Mecantec, Noucom and Abis were created to channel this diversification.
Meanwhile, among an increasing international projection, they move into the current facilities, with a paved area of more than 7000m2 and more than 4000m2 of industrial warehouse.
In this context, the company approached me with the task to redesign their corporate identity, into a fresher one that would help the business grow internationally, and project a more accurate look and feel of its work.
My feedback was to regroup all the different brands they created along the time under a single umbrella that could project all their expertise and solidity; while delivers a sense of a big company that deals with different areas and integrates them all into an unified leadership.
The square shaped image embodies solidity, strength, masculinity, etc
This solid element is formed by four equal angles, as modules, so the presence of all of them is necessary to form the final image, as a symbol of the different areas that make up the daily work of the company. One of those angles was turned to form its initial letter «G», which is the disrupting element that makes the design unique. Finally, the dark blue color allowed me to play with the secondary colours for each different area.
The logo has several applications from color to one ink, as well as a horizontal version for special formats, and it worked fine in textile, metal, plastic and other surfaces. As well as animations for the web site.
