The Department of Social Services of the Peñíscola Town Council developed its First Plan for Children and Adolescents, with the involvement of various actors from the public administration, the education system, civil society, etc. It was vital for those responsible to reflect this high level of citizen participation, as well as to establish clear visual codes that could accompany its reading and facilitate the understanding and location of information in a plan that includes actions and objectives over a long period of three years. The design summarises the diversity of participants and proposals through the use of different abstract shapes, each in a different colour, representing the different chapters of the document.

This way of differentiating the contents by colour and shape facilitates the quick location of the different points addressed in the document, while contributing to making reading enjoyable through the diversity of graphic resources used, which are unified through the use of a column structure that is maintained throughout the file.

Large visual breakout areas and vibrant colour zones give warmth to the whole.

One of the main concerns of the authors was to counteract possible reading fatigue, mainly from the tables containing the breakdown of the three-year plan. This breakdown is divided into four lines of action, which in turn are subdivided into three main groups, setting out the objectives, describing the actions to achieve these objectives and a third defining the budget available to implement these actions. The complexity of visualising this information was solved by using colour and images associated with each line of action of the plan, as can be seen.

In addition to the standard versions, limited edition premium versions were planned, available to managers of public administrations.

The initial document was designed with versatility in mind, making it susceptible to future adaptations that were clearly different from the mother document, but at the same time unified by means of recognisable visual codes.

Additionally, the document has digital versions for the web and actions in social networks and the digital sphere in general.

To publicise its launch and public presentation, flyers and an animation were produced to invite the public to get to know the project in depth and become involved in it.
